In G&G’s Winter 2007 issue, you will learn how to identify the latest high-quality CVD-grown synthetic diamonds. With Apollo’s product now on the market, knowing what to look for in CVD synthetics is time-critical. And with significant improvements in size, color and clarity, as well as new colors – the identifying characteristics are even more elusive. Until now. G&G’s Winter 2007 issue gives you the in-depth analysis that can protect your business. It also features reports on Canary tourmaline, fluorescence spectroscopy and the Napoleon Diamond Necklace.

Get your copy of American Cut: The First 100 Years.
In this groundbreaking book, diamond-cut expert Al Gilbertson chronicles the evolution of what is referred to as the 'Ideal Cut' from its earliest beginnings. It was originally known as the American Cut because of Henry Morse, a diamond cutter in Boston, who by 1873, with the help of his shop manager, built the first bruting machine to make a diamond perfectly round. Prior to this, diamonds were rarely cut as round shapes.

American Cut carefully documents others who also influenced the development and perceptions about the Ideal Cut, including Frank Wade, Herbert Whitlock, Marcel Tolkowsky, Robert Shipley and Richard Liddicoat. This book will alter your understanding of how diamonds came to be cut the way they are today. Pick up your copy at the G&G booth on the Galleria Level of the Tucson Convention Center during the AGTA Show.
